Vista exists for no other purpose than to make available articles inspired by the music of David Sylvian and his collaborators. I am very grateful for the interest in the site and your privacy as readers is of the highest importance to me.
The site is created on the WordPress.com platform. This platform facilitates the ability to follow the blog by registering your email address. This information is held securely by WordPress and will never be used for any reason other than to provide you with alerts of new content. At any time you can cancel your ‘follow’ request by using the ‘manage’ subscription function on every page on the site, by following the link provided in each email alert you receive, or by contacting me using the Contact option.
Comment management is through WordPress and their anti-Spam technology is provided by Akismet. Only data needed to carry our Akismet’s core function of protecting the site against comment spam is collected, and retention periods are short (14-90 days).
The site uses cookies for the purpose of providing anonymised data on the number of views and visitors by geographic location. Links are provided on Vista to enable those who would wish to own a digital or physical copy of the music to locate providers. In some instances (e.g. iTunes and Amazon) these links are affiliate links and may provide a small referral fee to Vista if a purchase is made. This arrangement potentially allows some of the costs of providing the site to be offset. Cookies may be used to facilitate this.
The WordPress.com privacy notice – part of automattic – can be found here.

Thank you for your interest in Vista. It’s appreciated.
